Alfa Leisure to Build Luxury Motorhomes & 5th Wheels in Oregon
(April 2008) – Luxury Motor home and 5th wheel manufacturer Alfa Leisure has closed escrow on 35 acre parcel in southern Oregon.
Ontario, CA –Motor home and luxury 5th wheel manufacturer Alfa Leisure announced they have acquired a 35 acre parcel in Douglas County, Oregon with the intent to build a new manufacturing facility.
“We’ve had our eyes on Oregon for some time and the deal finally felt right”, stated Alfa Founder and CEO Johnnie Crean. “Our plan is to create a ground up, state of the art facility which could produce both towables and motor homes”
The approximately 35 acre site is located in Douglas County Oregon, 67 miles south of Eugene, 96 miles north of Medford and 80 miles east of Coos Bay.
“Escrow closed earlier in the year and since that moment, we’ve been working on our long term plans to both create a world class manufacturing facility and to expand the Alfa line into new segments of the market” stated Alfa president, Scott Degnan.
The land was purchased by Alfa Land of Oregon, LLC , a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Leisure, Inc.
In 2005, $345 million dollar private equity firm, Nogales Investors, purchased a majority ownership in Alfa Leisure and continues to be a part of their success.
